  1. Clear Plainsawn Grade:

    • Mixed grain patterns.
    • Virtually knot-free; occasional small pin knots (≤½″).
    • Occasional natural figure may appear.
  2. Select Plainsawn Grade:

    • Combination of leaf and linear grain patterns.
    • Knots up to 1½″ in minor axis; includes small cracks or filled cracks.
    • More natural character markings.
  3. Character Plainsawn Grade:

    • Mixed grain patterns.
    • Unlimited knots, cracks, nail holes, and distressed markings (filled in engineered planks).
  4. Distressed Plainsawn Grade:

    • Leaf and linear grain patterns.
    • Unlimited knots and distressed markings, plus surface indentations.
  5. Select Quartersawn Grade:

    • At least 75% clear material, with 75% straight grain.
    • Knots limited to 1½″ on the minor axis.
    • Reflects traditional Colonial American flooring.
  6. Perfection Quartersawn Grade (CVG):

    • Highest quality, most durable.
